Norway’s best mountain restaurant?
Lavvoen at Høgevarde is a charming and unique building 800 meters above sea level. It is situated between Fisketjern and the ski lift where you will find our service building with a restaurant, kiosk and a full bar. Sit back and enjoy the fantastic view through the large glass windows. Lavvoen has a large outdoor area with a pump track and playground for children, as well as seating to enjoy your food and drink.
We serve lunch, snacks, homemade baked goods, good drinks and kiosk items. The use of local organic ingredients is highly prioritized. Vegetables from Gol, grass-fed veal from Nesbyen, grass-fed lamb from Vats, cheese from Hol and Spekemat (varieties of dried hams) from Hønefoss to name a few. Some evenings we also have dinner events, stay tuned for updates. Our drink menu is based on homemade drinks such as water kefir and nitro iced coffee, as well as Norwegian juices and high quality mineral water. We also have a good selection of Norwegian beers and cider, along with an exciting wine list consisting of both traditional and non-traditional wines.
The building also hosts evening events, après ski and dining experiences of various kinds, as well as private events.
Our ambition is for Lavvoen to be a natural gathering point for socializing and good food experiences.

Bygget har fått en real overhaling både på fasiliteter og interiør, og menyenhar fått et stort løft. Vi tilbyr nå en rikholdig meny av lekre retter basert på lokale råvarer sammen med et uvanlig spennende drikkekart.
Vi gleder oss til å servere god mat laget fra bunnen av, basert på råvarer av høy kvalitet fra lokale og økologiske produsenter.
